Elton Castee and Corey Scherer hate each other. They tease each other, make fun of each other, mock and yell at each other every time they see each other at school. One day a teacher ,who is oblivious to the two boys "relationship" together and all the teacher knows is that they fight to much and he doesn't know why but in his defense neither does Corey, partners them up. The boys hardly get along at first, but as they learn more personal things about each other, they warm up to each other in more ways than one.

elton castee is a seventeen year old boy, living in 1987. He takes a trip with his family to florida, where he meets seventeen year old corey scherer. they start to get along, always meeting at the beach and hanging out all day, slowly but surely getting to know each other. eventually, one starts to feel attraction towards the other, but elton has to fly back to connecticut with his family soon.
