(Hello if you got time please read my new short story- https://www.wattpad.com/story/175347394-between-destinations :) ) You have probably had someone tell you to think positive when you were in a trying situation. That is because the power of positive thinking is something that is a widely held belief. Most people easily accept that when you give off positive energy, you can infect others with that positive energy and that they will return that energy to you. It is basically the idea that what you put out there will come back to you. Positive influences are all around us. They exist because people love to feel good. People prefer the positive to the negative. You can likely relate to this. You would probably rather be around someone who is upbeat and full of energy than someone who is depressed and moping around. People see that thinking positive and having a positive attitude can play a large role in their life. Positive thinking can be very powerful and by putting it to work in your life; you can reap the positive benefits.

After years of torment and pain, I'm just a shadow of the woman I once was. Even now, after months of freedom, the lingering aches of broken bones, and the memories of unspeakable horrors still keep me from living a life of peace. While I try my best to put back all the broken pieces, the last thing I need is another man-or so I thought. Jake is one of Hollywood's hottest, most popular actors. He's the kind of man a woman like me should avoid at all costs. But his determination to prove to me that happiness is more than just a shattered dream slowly starts to break down my defenses, and I start to hope that I might still be able to find love. Unfortunately, with a painful history like mine, hoping for a better future can turn out to be a huge mistake-especially when the demons of your past refuse to let you go.

Wattys 2017 winner in The Originals category!!!! This is NOT a romance between the main character and some hunky guy. These are the adventures of vampire Lena as she lives her life from day to day alongside her human flatmate Carmen. Together they encounter human rights activists (not what you think), overly attached exes, vampire geeks, quarrelsome shapeshifters, some really chill people, and a boy band. Let's Go For A Pint is a satire/genre parody revolving around tropes associated with vampire fiction (mostly tv and film portrayals but written works may be alluded) Season 1 is up. While marked as complete, expect ongoing editing and bonus content to appear. Cover made in Canva

Can an insecure beauty tame a self-sabotaging beast? *4 Sample Chapters * ☆Winner of a 2017 Watty Award in The Originals category. Julia Swift is terribly sexy. Unfortunately, there's nothing she can do about it. While attempting to hide in plain sight from a world she fears only wants to use her, she is claimed as a personal stylist by vivacious socialite, Vérité Claire, a glamorous eccentric with a penchant for guiding talented oddballs along paths to meet their potential. Her curious crew includes sassy housekeeper, Lotte, insanely jealous biographer, Bernard, and eventually Orson Vaughn, a hulking outcast living in self-imposed exile since being betrayed by those closest to him in his shameful past. In spite of Julia's trust issues and Orson's tendency toward self-sabotage, the two grow closer through a series of exchanged favours until two people who are trying very hard to be invisible are seeing an awful lot of each other. Will a final favour which sees Julia helping Orson in a revenge plot against former adversaries put too great a strain on their unlikely relationship and prevent it from blossoming into more? If Vérité Claire has anything to do with it then the answer is 'Not a chance, darlings!'. So powder your noses, because the 2017 Watty winning The Favoured, The Fair and Ms. Vérité Claire is a lighthearted Beauty and the Beast-like romantic farce with a pie-throwing, rodeo-riding, chocolate covered, diamond studded, French-tipped twist! Swoon responsibly. Content warning: This story contains mature language, themes of body-shaming and brief references to drugs. *No part of this book may be reproduced or used in any manner without the express written permission of the author.

Currently nominated for two major Australian literature awards. Sometimes, it's impossible to get home, especially if home is not where you think it is. Aboriginal urbanite Billy doesn't know much about his heritage and he's quite content to let it stay that way. One late night out changes all that. Not to mention the assistance of a mysterious entity only he can see. Relying on instinct and confounded by circumstances beyond his control he tries to find his way home. Loreless-part quest, part ghost story, part contemporary tale-takes the reader on a road trip through a central Australia filled with humour and endless surprise. A violent, epic, action-packed urban quest full of very eccentric, often hilarious, extremely dangerous characters who also happen to be animals - the wildlife of New York City, to be exact. Reviews 'Artfully imagined and constructed ... Through the eyes and hearts of Evans's furry characters, Beasts of New York gets at a lot of complex stuff: issues of identity, specifically nature versus nurture, are explored without being heavy-handed, and the real-life distances between bravery and cowardice, loyalty and disloyalty, hope and despair are often revealed to be just a hair's breadth apart.' (Julie Eakin, ForeWord Magazine) 'EPIC! 'Beasts of New York is about a squirrel named Patch who, out of desperation and need, adventures beyond his home in Central Kingdom to try and save it. While it seems that fate is conspiring against him, taking him further from his home than any squirrel has traveled, his journey is a necessary step to saving all of Central Kingdom from the evil trying to consume it.... 'This book reads like a fantasy novel, even though it is set in New York City. The horrors that Patch encounters at times seemed so unreal to me, despite knowing where they were. Seeing them from another pair of eyes gave some things a new air of terror and others one of wonder. 'This is not a light novel. It is very dark, and at times absolutely horrifying, but I connected so much to Patch as a hero that, in the end, I was left with tears of relief and happiness in my eyes.' (Kate, GoodReads) About the Author Jon Evans's novels have been published around the world, translated into half a dozen languages, and praised by The Economist, The Times of London, and the Washington Post. His journalism has appeared in Wired, Reader's Digest, The Guardian, The Globe & Mail, and The Times of India, and he writes a weekly column for TechCrunch. He can be found online at www.rezendi.com.
