Snarry. Explicit. Post-Hogwarts, though the War still rages. Harry is holed up at Grimmauld Place where he may be safe from his enemies, but he's not exactly safe from boredom. Some of the best distractions in these days are provided by one Severus Snape. You may have seen an abridged version of this fic elsewhere on Wattpad, but this is the full and proper version, being uploaded by the person who wrote it. The sequel and some supplementary stories will follow. [A note on canon: This story was written prior to the release of book 6 and is therefore canon-compliant up to book 5. It is set in the year after Harry finishes school.]

Harry Potter and Severus Snape have never been particularly close, but that changes his sixth year after Professor Slughorn's Christmas party. Now, on the cusp of his Horcrux hunt, these two cannot seem to stay away from one another. While the fate of the Wizarding World rests in Harry's hands, knowing he must vanquish Voldemort, Harry cannot get his Potions Professor from his mind.

Just before sixth-year begins, Harry is assaulted by Horace Slughorn. Once this happens, the most unlikely person saves him - Severus Snape. In the wake of this, not all is as it seems, and Harry must work hard to figure out why it is always him, and that desire, no matter how unorthodox, is the key to finding love.

Harry finds out that his prior Potions professor isn't really dead, and bolts back to the Shrieking Shack. Together, they put brains and power together to defeat Lord Voldemort.
