"I'm delivering these," I shook the basket a bit, "to my dearest grandmama." He hesitated for only a slight second, "oh. well. be careful then. These woods can be dangerous." I nodded once still holding out the basket, "so would you?" "Would we what?" I giggle a bit, "like a cookie silly." "Ah.." he scratched the back of his head, "sorry, I'm not too fond of apples." Damn it. I sighed softly, "strawberry next time then." "Right..." As I turned to go I looked up at the two tall men, "you be careful now too gentleman. There are wolves in these woods." They nodded rigidly as I spun and began to skip off, giggling to myself. He asked the wrong question. I didn't give the dead fool a cookie. I gave him two.

"Just listen, Hunter. I'm Penelope Herrick, you don't answer a damn phone call while I'm naked on top of you. And maybe you shouldn't have marked me if you weren't ready to give me all of your attention." I shrugged. It didn't take long for him to slam me against the wall, pinning me with his ungodly strong body. "You've got my attention, now, little mate." he growled against my neck, his hot breath against my mark making me squirm. And then suddenly, I came to the realization that Hunter was far easier to deal with when I did what he said. "Sometimes I think you start arguments just to start them," he chuckled a bit. I leaned my head up to press my lips against his and put my hands on his shoulders. Soon, he began kissing me back. By the time I broke the kiss he was no longer forcefully holding me to the wall, but he had carried me down the hall to the couch.
