Left on his own, with only Demid as his guide, he struggles to find a way back to the Court while also avoiding capture from all sides. At the same time, surprising discoveries also leave him wondering if there is a deeper reason why earth, despite all it's inherent dangers, feels far more like "home" than the Court ever has...
