She blew a kiss sealed with a promise, to the wind, the vibrant sky, and beyond, hoping with all her heart that it would reach across, uniting hearts and minds wherever it went, beyond and beyond.
sol·ace
(noun)
1. something that gives comfort, consolation, or relief
A cafe and a business of crystalline craft and glass sculptures, and its inhabitants tied by the strings of fate (tangled and knotted, a complex web,) interconnected with the mystical world and the midnight hour.
(Or: when people break, the pieces don't fit quite the same way as before. It's more difficult to fix people than to fix something of broken glass---Serenity tries to put the sharp shards of souls back together again, but they pierce her skin and leave scars on her delicate hands, even gloved, and her soul within, and it's hard. So unfathomably complex. But really, there's nothing else she would like to do. And she hopes that in the process perhaps she can put the pieces of herself back together again, too, despite how foolish the wish.)
