David, brought into the world by Peter Weyland with the simple directive to serve. Created to serve, it instantly seems to be a hardship, a life which will be dictated by another, without a free will of his own, because free will is simply an illusion. But, there is another who is unlucky enough to be trapped under the same roof as Weyland, and it isn't his eldest daughter Meredith; Minerva, the girl in the cluttered room who is not all that she seems to be. Relatively the same, yet also different, both David and Minerva end up finding themselves more alike than they thought as life decides to twist and turn before them.

With the crash landing of the Juggernaut and the destruction of the Prometheus, and with the promise of leaving; Elizabeth Shaw, Alma Meadows and David find themselves in a trying predicament. Returning home does not seem to be an option, finding the Engineer's home world, however, is. By his own admission, David states he could get them there, but he'd rather they fixed him along the way, being a decapitated head isn't the lifestyle for him. With LV-223 far behind, things if anything get more strained as both humans slowly run out of supplies, having been reduced to succumbing to hypersleep, both expect to be woken when they arrive on the Engineer's planet, thus leaving David alone on the commandeered Juggernaut. Only, being left alone doesn't mean he will just spend his time minding his business like he did when on the Prometheus, no, David has ideals, has plans, and getting rid of the Engineers is just step one. After many, many years, when a crew appear suddenly, he cannot help but find curiosity in them, even more so when an android, a brother in arms, is with them. Who and why are the crew of the Covenant here? And who are the other mysterious colonists which keep getting mentioned? Not all is what it appears to be within Paradise, and honestly, David doesn't find himself caring all that much.

Alma Meadows, loyal Weyland Corp employee is one of many who work on creating the new, better androids to beat the rest which come from the company; or even the competition. An android with emotions seems like an oddly acceptable idea, but she has some reservations, even more so when the first David 8 wakes up and she has the pleasure to try and help him make sense of the world around him; to make sure that an android which can understand and show emotions is safe for the general populace. This all seems too simple, and life is good until talk of funding the Prometheus project crosses her path, and then things go from bad to worse, along with the rest of the crew as the search for their own creators comes into consideration with dire consequences.
