She was a singer. A songbird. She sang for a club for extra money. Singing for a birthday party for the one funding the owner of the club, she ends up seeing how infatuated he was with her as he attacks her in the dressing room. She was able to escape and goes into hiding with the help of a detective. His job is to protect her with his life till she is safe from the man who attacked her who was head of the Italian mafia.
