Jess is 15 and hasn't had the greatest start to life, neglected by her parents and then bounced between care home to care home and Foster parents to Foster parents. After her last care home experience goes terribly wrong, shes moved into Ashdene Ridge. Is it the right place for her though?

Maya Bishop has a fourteen year old daughter named Harley; she got pregnant by accident with her boyfriend Jack and they lived together as a family until he died when Harley was two. Maya hasn't dated for fifteen years and didn't plan on it anytime soon until a beautiful brunette showed up in her life to possibly change her plans.

POV: Maya Bishop (from Station 19) has been dealing with an eating disorder, even though she lets people think she is fine; she clearly isn't. The only person able to break down her walls is her beloved Carina. She deals with the consequences of having an ED and sees how it affects her life. Will she be able to break free? Carina's 16 year daughter Kiara, is her first and only priority. It's always been the two of them against the world. But things start changing as Carina meets Maya, a fire fighter and Captain of station 19.

After a day trip to a theme park the DG kids return to Ashdene Ridge to find that a burst pipe has caused a major flood at the DG. The only option is for the kids to be sent off to other care homes and foster homes or in some cases back to their parents, until the damage is repaired. How will the DG kids cope being split up? There are repercussions for different DG kids as the chaos puts family relationships and friendships to the test.
