When I was a child, I used to think the monsters Mom used to tell me in her fairytale stories were scary. But now that I've seen the real world, I've realized humans are much scarier. There's an evil king turning innocent people into demons, villages literally dying from lack of resources, and the only way to solve this is an eighteen year old girl who doesn't even know her real identity yet. Well, that's going to change real soon because unless the world wants an army of controlled demons ruling the world, someone's got to stand up. Cover: @LadySnowdrop [HIATUS]

*Editing* #1 mystery in the Rising Gem Awards #2 mystery in the Hidden Gem Awards #3 mystery in the Rising Author Awards The unbelievably narcissistic FBI Agent Quinn Jones is a veteran investigator when it comes to the strange and occult, but he prefers his assignments to be out of the ordinary. Several deaths on a quiet beach and one grisly murder out at sea don't seem related, but when they start to hit too close to home he will have to rely on the brains of Doctor Robyn Bourke, a sassy marine biologist, to make heads or tails of the fishy situation. Their strong personalities collide as the mystery deepens, and it becomes apparent that there are forces beyond their wildest imagination at work. Can they stand each other long enough to solve the case, or will Mother Nature get the best of them?

Tahro Akagi shouldn't live in two worlds at once. Yet, forced to spend his days studying by a no-nonsense mother, he longs for adventure. In a moment of desperation, Tahro's soul splits in two. While one of his selves remains in Japan, the other finds himself in Saishuu Riku, the lands of his favourite book. Engrossed in this world more than he ever thought possible, Tahro saves a character's life. But if a butterfly's wings can bring thunderstorms, then his every breath is another flap as it flies- his every heartbeat a danger to those around him. Unwittingly, he becomes entangled in a web of conspiracies between ministers, a murderous witch and a kidnapper with butterfly-patterned knives. Tahro learns he's changed the plot too much. Events that should happen don't and his new friends are caught in a crossfire he wants no part in. And when his friend is kidnapped, saving her could put everyone else in danger. Yet Tahro can't stand by and watch. *** I update every Saturday. Blurb written with the help of @catlegis.
