تدور احداث الرواية في عالم موازي واقعي ليست في دولة معروفة أو في ديانة معينة أو في حضارة ما .. مجرد شريحة حياة خلقتها تحت بطولة " جنيفر ألبرت " وعدة شخصيات تخوض معها حياتها .. تبدأ القصة بذكرى قبل سبع سنوات حيت كان عمر جنيفر إحدى عشر عاماً فقط لتسترجع فيها ذكرياتها المعلقة مع " جون " وهو ابن جارهم الذي يكبرها بعامين .. تمر عدة احداث سريعة تنتهي بافتراقهم وتسمع بعدها خبر وفاته هو وعائلته لتعود للواقع بعمر 19 عاماً وتدخل لجامعة خاصة تدعى " وليسلي " ومن هناك تبدأ الاحداث تدريجياً .. لم ارفق نبذة او اصنع واحدة لهذه الرواية اردتها غامضة ومع القراءة يكتشف القارئ محتواها فكرتها الاساسية كانت حول العلاقات و الحب .. واخترت لها عنوناً يناسب محتواها فخلف أقنعة الحب تعني .. حب الوالدين حب الأقرباء حب الاصدقاء حب المحبين وفي هذه الرواية سردت ما خلف انواع الحب هذه فهناك انانية وهناك خداع وهناك حنيّة وهناك صبر وهناك مصلحة وهناك عطاء وهناك ألم وهناك خيانة وهناك ود وهناك خوف .. هناك حباً غير متبادل وتضحية .. لا احد يظهر حقيقة ما يكنه داخل قلبه وهذه حقيقة المشاعر الإنسانية وهذا ما تعرضه روايتي .. نوع الرواية : عاطفية, رومانسية,شريحة حياة, غموض الفئة المستهدفة : +14 الى 26 السرد : سينمائي التصنيف : رواية اجنبية
