He refused to produce another heir, leaving the queen politically useless as a member of the royal family. Just when matters were reaching dethronement, King Hyunmin died unexpectedly during the night. This meant that his son Prince Jisung would have to shadow his stepmother as she ruled the country in order for him to learn how to take his father's place. This is where the story begins with a young man who knows nothing of what's beyond the palace walls, and turns to his own exploration and discoveries for company. Being told what to do 24/7 he obeyes and provides without much thought of weather or not the choices he made were truly his. His life had started without him the day his father passed, but he finally started living it once he was sent out on a hunt and found himself lost in the middle of the moors.
