The most annoying thing about Hinata is the fact he never shuts up. Most of the time, Kageyama can tune the other out but every now and then a certain phrase or conversation that loudmouth has come out with will just stick with Kageyama like glue. It's the dumb things Hinata blurts out that leads to Kageyama questioning his sexuality. Kageyama walked towards him with a unidentifiable expression. To Hinata, Kageyama was the most scary when he wasn't expressing his usual anger. "Stand up." To an athlete, your body is all you've got; and Hinata has tried for way too long to reach the point he is to just give up. Anything that happens in this book is in their first year, and it will not necessarily be the same as what happened in the anime and manga. So, it's about how the relationship between Hinata and Kageyama slowly built and how they got passed their obstacles as they went for competition and tournaments.
