Using the excuse of it being "better" for their studies, they haven't lived in the main house since they were quiet young, and as a result, rule themselves. When Emi's wild nature results in her "choosing" to leave Lobelia, the girls transfer to Ouran for a fresh start. Unfortunately, this fresh start becomes entrenched with a horror from their past, bogged down with the return of their estranged brother, and a bit wild when combined with a host of new friends. Whether its good, or bad, as the horror grows stronger, so do their friendships.
