❛ 'cause i think i'm not yours. ❜ atsushi sees colorful strings on five of his fingers; and there's one that's tightly wrapped around his neck. he wishes he doesn't have the red string, because at the end of the string is a person he can't have. looped around with the purple color, that tightens around the red string. dazai doesn't see any strings on his fingers; he watches atsushi take in deep shaky breaths and scratch at his neck as if something was there, always leaving a bruising ring. he wishes he could see was atsushi sees, because it seems the light haired boy always shoot dazai a sad gaze. and he always squeezed his pinkie with a bit of pain in his expression, a frown etched on his lips. atsushi wishes he can't see the strings; dazai wishes he could see what the other can see.

Warning: Frequent suicide mentions since, you know, Dazai. If mentions of suicide bother you, skip chapter 2 and you should probably avoid the section before the gap in chapter 3 as well. Chapters are unrelated to each other unless they're labeled as part 1, part 2, etc Sorry in advance that I don't have them use honorifics in my writing- I don't want to butcher the usage of them. Also sorry if they seem a bit out of character.
