But you can only help someone who wants to be helped.... What happens when he finds himself face-to-face with just the person he was trying to avoid, because she makes him forget everything he thought he knew about himself?

A good ol' jolly romp through the lives of Severus & Hermione, with a few of our other favourite characters we've come to love thrown in for good measure. And a few new ones too! Life in the Wizarding World, 10 years after the end of the Battle of Hogwarts. Hermione is the Minister of Magic and wants to help Severus who had been living as a near hermit since the end of the battle, but as the reason for his withdrawal becomes apparent will Hermione be able to help him before it's too late? Some of these characters have been borrowed from JKR, some are my own. Some 'mature' scenes, a bit of angst but always a Happy Ever After... Five years post Hogwarts Battle and the Marriage Law has finally been ratified. Hermione has been chosen to marry Snape, the odious Bat of the Dungeons and her fellow professor. With him, she feels a lot safer. She took a man who thought he could never be happy again and showed him the light. She loves him. He loves her. And to them, that's all that matters.

' One puff, and then a second. He simply couldn't stop himself from going for another drag. Just like he couldn't stop averting his gaze towards her sleeping figure, bathed in moonlight. One more glance and then I'm done. But he knew he was lying to himself; right from having their clothes being unbuttoned, to being an entangled mess together- the memory burns a vivid picture in his mind. The brown of her eyes- so warm, so intense, as if he knew looking deep into them was going to leave a mark on his soul. One more puff, and then I'd stop. But her skin, all soft and smooth seemed to inch closer, as though his touch was burning her to ashes. And she wanted to be burnt. Their moans were muffled within the confines of these walls, like the rings of smoke clouding his vision. Her lips that moved in complete sync with his own- disguising as his rehab, only to taunt him into relapsing. He looked at the cigarette in his hand and then at her, and just wondered- Why was I under the wrong addiction all this time? ' It has been some time since the war and most of them had moved on.
