Hermitcraft season 8 has started, but when an old friend appears on the server, Grian's past comes back for him, and a secret that he never meant to share turns all his friends against him. After all, there's no such thing as a good Watcher... Right?

(As of the point of writing this there is no plot to the Origins SMP. Aka, I get free artistic range, score! No ships. Weird plot. Wtf am I doing?! Why am I going this?! No prewritten chapters... We're doomed. IM ALREADY WORKING ON THREE OTHER STORIES WHAT AM I DOING?! F*CK YEAH!!! I ADDED THE COVER!! Mmmmm pride!!) An Avian named Tommy Innit is given an incredibly important task. Why the heck was it left in his hands? Yeah no, I don't know either. But he "agrees" and goes off to find out what the heck the "darkness coming from the bedrock" or whatever is. He doesn't even want friends, why did he agree to a journey that heavily entails meeting others and becoming friends enough with them you can win back your world with them? Ah, f*ck it! Here we go again. Tldr/aka: Tommy is trusted with important task. What a horrible decision that was.... (Holy sh*t, this is like Avatar the Last Airbender! I was not meaning for that to happen, dear lord!)

The admins (Dream, Techno and Xisuma) are captured in attempts to steal their power, each one carrying the burden of a ghost of their past, where they only way out is to face their deepest fears, and greatest regrets. ~~~ Note that this was written (and completed) in late 2020 and that it was my first fic ever. Read at your own discretion I suppose.

The question shook Grian to his very core. He looked up at one of his oldest friends. 'No. No I'm not.' As Mumbo was trying to think of something to say, Iskall walked closer to the two. 'Why's that?' 'It's my fault? Isn't it?' --- Hermitcraft's Demise gone feral.

Twenty-four strangers, all hiding from the magic inside that leaves them broken and alone, stumble upon each other, leading to them finding out that, despite what they may think, the world needs them after all. What are the chances? I have no idea. Very low I presume. But fate doesn't care about the chances of something happening. It does what it wants. I guess that is why it is called fate. ~~ I'm so excited about this book! It's going to be very different from what I've written before, so it may crash and burn in a fiery explosion or it may be amaze-zah-zing. Who knows. There will be no ships in this, but you are free to view some of the relationships as romantic if you want! I don't care either way :D I do not own the Hermits. Would you hide a part of yourself? You might do it if that part scared you. After a while, you might get good at hiding your secrets and past. Grian had experience with that sort of thing, and now he must do it once again - but it's so much harder this time. I am writing this for AO3, but I decided to start posting it on here as well Because of that, updates might be slow even though I update the AO3 version very VERY often This takes place in Season 7, and begins during the Mayoral Campaign

Tommyinnit tried to swim in lava Grian didn't know what to expect when he saw a child was looking in the lava longingly. The child in question, however, looked nothing like he was alive. He looked like he was burned at the stake. The child looked to have something in its hands, what it was, Grian couldn't see. Grian was about to just walk away until the child walked right into the lava pool. But it came out looking disappointed. Who is this child? What happened to them?

Hey so here's an idea I had in mind. This story takes place on the Hermitcraft season 7 server and all the hermits are thrown into a war after gaining special abilities. But not is all that it seems. Maybe it's something much more... I guess some things are out of your control. This is my first story so definitely gonna be cringe and some shipping... sorry not sorry... Art is not mine.
