Nico is deaf. He uses sign language, and can read lips. He scraped up enough money to go to college, but it's not the best college. There's homophobic Octavian and his gang...and the absolutely terrible teachers. Also, Nico doesn't have a roommate to stick up for him. He never minded though, because not having anyone was better than having another probably homophobe to deal with. - Will moved from America with his deaf sister and mom. His new college just happens to be Nico's....

Nico hasn't had an easy life. His father abandoned him, his mother died, and then his sister met the same fate. However, things have recently gotten worse: his boyfriend has turned abusive. Nico lives in constant fear. Then Nico meets Will. Will helps Nico, and shows him that his life doesn't have to be a living hell. It takes a while, but slowly, Nico starts to believe him. Unfortunately, just as they are just starting to relax, things go horribly wrong. Mortal AU completed, but i'm editing it check the first chapter (the a/n) for trigger warnings.

Nico is depressed, anorexic and has schizophrenia. With the voices in his head getting louder and louder will Nico be able to be the soldier his dead sister always told him to be or will it become too much for Nico to handle.
