Monse, Cesar, Ruby and Jamal aren't as close as they were a few years ago. Ruby, determined as ever, is making it his life's mission to restore the group. Monse and Cesar have a kid but they broke up when he was three months old and Jamal's graduating early and going to New York. All Ruby wants is one more year with his best friends before they go to College.
