This is the second book to the story Just Human Things. I suggest you read that if you haven't before reading this. Violet is growing up faster than Luz and Amity can really understand, and with all of the weight on Violet's back having to live up to the expectations other people set on her because her Mother is the leader of The Emperor's Coven isn't helping her. Even with Eda and Lilith's help, Luz and Amity just weren't prepared for how Violet would change as she grew older. What will Violet do to calm the madness that's rushing through her head trying to determine whether she's wants to be a Human on Earth, or a citizen of the Boiling Isles?
