There was a peaceful, comforting silence until Luke managed to get a grip. "Goodnight," he soothed. His fingers itched painfully as he gazed at a strand of hair making its way into her glassy eyes. Internally grunting at his lack of self-control, Luke reached out to brush it to the side. His fingers lingered on her face as he admired the way her eyes fluttered close at the cool contact of his rings against her skin.
