Ladybug is completely mortified after she is forced to witness the death of her one true love Chat Noir, otherwise known as Adrien Agreste. Filled with both anger and grief, Ladybug tells herself that Hawk Moth would pay for what he did...with his life. The young superheroine struggles with many decisions, primarily if she is to use "Absolute Power" from both miraculouses to bring Adrien back from the grave and whether or not to take Hawk Moth's life. Of course, Hawk Moth has difficulties accepting the fact that he had just murdered his own son. Whereas Marinette wants revenge, Adrien would want for her to find closure through forgiveness. She also knows that using "Absolute Power" to bring back her love could result in the end of the universe and everyone in it. Marinette had unfortunately lost her eyesight in a horrid tragedy a year before. She dreads the first day of her sophomore year (10th grade/10th year), fearing that none of the students will want anything to do with the poor blind girl yet again. Luckily, Marinette is able to meet Adrien Agreste: a gorgeous, rich, and selfless blond model. It does not take very much for the two teenagers to quickly become the closest of friends.
