Bell was left blind and deaf after encountering a demon sent by the "Shadow of Deception." Both twins are running on blind faith at this point. At key moments an invisible King from another world leads the sisters but they've grown up in a time where even swearing is punished. Believing in the unseen King holds a sentence of death.
