Gaster is the head Royal Scientist, bearing with it a lot of responsibility. But with his workaholic personality and refusal to sleep, this makes for a lot of injuries. Grillby is working hard, doing almost any job he can find so he can save up to build and own his own restaurant, his dream job. So of course this leads to working at odd hours sometimes. With the combination of Gaster's tired, accident-prone body and Grillby's hardworking attitude, what happens when the scientist needs a babysitter? So, already this is irritating me. Every day, gaster would wake up, prepare for work at the core, head off, and get back home... but between the getting home and leaving work... he'd stop in to grillby's bar... he was the one customer who wasn't just there for alcohol... grillby was one of the few people who made his day... whether he had nearly died due to a mathematical error or if the core almost overheated due to a sudden lack of coolant, grillby was one of gaster's retreats... what will happen when gaster realizes he has feelings for grillby?

The sleepy town of Snowdin has some new arrivals: a little family of skeletons. The father, one doctor Gaster, seems to take a keen interest in Grillby. With how alluring the mysterious newcomer is, is it really any surprise Grillby falls for him hard and fast? Too bad about the sickness going around though. I couldn't help but remember, the memory striking my whole being. Something in my life made me forget. He was my friend. He then died a painful death, falling into the CORE. Excluding the most important holidays, there was only one other day a year that Grillby's was closed. If anyone actually looked inside, they would see Grillby sitting alone at the bar, his flames dim and with a picture pressed against his chest, reminiscing about a bittersweet past.
