I was just a chauffeur, nothing more than an Irish man with impossibly high dreams, but she was willing to give up everything for me, her status, her family, even her country. I spent every day mulling about our country house, engaging in conversations with my sisters on pointless topics and entertaining admirers over our evening dinners, but I found my life filled when I met him, a man who shared my political interests, my hopes of change in the future and who made me feel warm inside with a simple glance. Set during series 1 (March 1912)

We never saw what went on in Mary's head. Julian fellowes never showed us her reaction after Matthews death or informed us on how she felt. This is a piece of writing describing her life leading up to his death and reactions after death.

"Now she's gone, my heart with her, how am I meant to love the baby? She took everything from me when she left me! I can't see for the darkness, can't hear for the silence, can't speak for the fact she can never hear my words! How am I meant to go about, day by day, when my daughter, her living replica, rips out my heart by simply standing there?"

Mila und Carlo lernen sich zufälligerweise im Zug kennen, nachdem sie sich von ihrem Freund getrennt hat, der sie betrogen hat. Sie lernen sich kennen, sie lernen sich lieben, sie lernen, nicht mehr ohne den Anderen leben zu können. Doch als Mila einen Fehler begeht, bricht nicht nur für sie eine Welt zusammen. Carlo ist am Boden zerstört. Doch als er mitbekommt, dass Mila im Krankenhaus liegt, gibt er sich die Schuld daran. Mila liegt im Koma, er verlässt die Stadt und versucht sie zu vergessen. Wird Mila jemals wieder aufwachen? Und Hat Carlo sie schon vergessen? Das alles erfahrt ihr, wenn ihr die Geschichte lest :)
