** WATTYS 2018 WINNER ** Big Tech meets Die Hard in this techno-thriller Kirkus Reviews calls "a clever, spirited tale with a brainy, nimble heroine at the helm." From IndieReader's 5-star (highest rating) review: "Bond weaves an entertaining tale filled with deceit, robots, Russians, and tech entrepreneurs that all combine to give the reader a reason to flip pages furiously to find out what might happen next." Deb Bollinger has no time for corporate training. Her company's top engineer at just twenty-seven, Deb has blocked off her day for the one project she truly cares about: the launch of Carebnb, an app that finds spare beds for the homeless. When she's told all employees must drop everything for some busywork exercise called Blackquest 40, it's an easy no. Trouble is, her bosses aren't really asking. Blackquest 40 is the mother of all corporate trainings. A near-impossible project to be completed in forty straight hours. No phones. No internet. Sleeping on cots. Nobody in, nobody out. Deb finds the whole setup creepy and authoritarian. When a Carebnb issue necessitates her leaving the office, she heads for the door. What's the worst that could happen? Armed commandos, HVAC-duct chases, a catastrophic master plan that gets darker by the hour - Blackquest 40 is a fresh take on the Die Hard formula, layering smart-drones and a modern heroine onto the classic action tale. Cover design and illustration by Ethan Scott.

She didn't exactly know him, but that doesn't stop her from feeling like there was something she could have done to help him. So to Hadley's surprise, on the very night of Archer's funeral, she has a run in with Death himself and is offered the chance to go back in time to stop Archer from ending his life. The catch? She only has twenty-seven days to do it. And if Hadley doesn't succeed? Well, she doesn't want to think about that.

Seventeen-year-old April Parker wakes up in an underground facility, a shock bracelet on her wrist and a five-day countdown on the clock. Dozens of other teens share her inexplicable fate, but their unseen captors never intervene no matter how brutal conditions become. When the ruthless - and unnervingly magnetic - Marcus seizes control, April's trauma-forged instinct is to lay low. But protecting her friends drives her to bargain with the boy she should fear most - a boy whose reality fractures with every tick. Then the countdown ends, and the real terror begins. Powers ignite. Alliances shatter. And predators are born. And with a saboteur among them determined to keep the doors closed forever, escaping what comes next may be the only way to survive it.

Parvs are just like ordinary humans. They eat, they speak, and they live their lives in active communities. The only difference: they are just 2 inches tall! Survival in this world is a day-to-day struggle, especially after they declare war against their gigantic oppressors. Now, the hapless creatures are the literal underclass in a revolution against a terrifyingly impossible foe. NOTE: I plan on updating this story 2 times a week, but the end result should be fairly long. The goal is to finish it and find an avenue to publish it.

Some sort of well-orchestrated, viral meme thing. An overly elaborate flash mob. But after a few hours it was serious, after a day it was scary, the weeks passed and it was terrifying, and now... Now in trade paper and for all eReaders at Amazon and Smashwords! An old man dies in a very public and very strange suicide-or was it murder? Jeff Cramer has to figure out which, and quickly. Nothing about this case appears normal, and it could get very dangerous, very quickly. This novelette rose to #4 in Science Fiction on Wattpad in 2014. Now on sale in trade paperback and for all eReaders at Amazon, Smashwords, iTunes, Kobo, etc. My novel The First Jumper, which is on Wattpad as first draft, will be out on Amazon and other venues about the beginning of April, 2015. It is a prequel to this story--but read this story first. If you enjoy this, you may find that story enjoyable as well. Feedback is welcome. If you like what you read, please click the star! And of course, an online review would be the ultimate encouragement. Thanks! Brian Groover
