Wilbur was surprised that he noticed such a small thing, but he supposed it accounted for the surprise that he had noticed earlier. 'Oh, I prefer Wilbur if that's okay sir. My social worker always forgot to call me Wilbur and I stopped correcting him a while back.' He replied, choosing to ignore the feeling of anxiety at the realisation that was the most he had talked throughout their meeting. 'Alright mate. Oh, and please call me Phil. Sir makes me sound older than I actually am.' OR A fluff to angst to fluff adoption AU where Wilbur Soot gets adopted into the SBI household just before his 18th birthday after years in the foster system. Now, he must learn how to trust his newfound family and find that it's okay to be dependent on others. But after so many years of only relying on only himself, Wilbur struggles to do that. cover art by snapp_art on twitter! go leave a follow, i will know if you dont : ) tommy henley is a storm. he's angry and aggressive, and loud and mean. that is, on the outside. phil watson has fostered and adopted two children before. he wasn't dumb. he could tell when a child was mad because the world was mean to him. when they were angry because the universe didn't seem to understand that he was just a kid doing his best. he can put up with a tantrum. he had two teenage boys. tommy being three. it wont be an easy endeavour. there'll be yelling. there'll be crying. panic attacks. tantrums. phil is determined to help tommy see that he isnt a storm. he's just a kid. a kid who has to deal with too much at too young an age. phil watson would be trying to do the seemingly impossible. pleasing this storm.

Tommy, who had been in and out of the foster system since he was 6, was told to get ready for another family meeting. To say he wasn't too fond of that was an understatement. He knew the routine, get adopted, get abused, get put back into the orphanage, repeat. But when this family of three is kind to him, what's gonna happen? How will he react? And how will he fuck this one up? So just to put out there, Tubbo is the neighbor across the street- not part of the family. And Phil isn't a bad dad in this one- And read the 1st thing for context- there are mental disorders!! And trigger warnings!!
