Recent awards November 2019: #1 sci-fi/fantasy in the "November Awards" Overall winner in "The November Awards" Izzy and Bell are twin sisters surviving in a post-apocalyptic, dystopian, Brooklyn New York. They've met up with the mutant tunnel children. The mutants were born after the purple lights lit up the sky. Radiation has caused the fall of America and the rise of a tyrannical, Nazi-like government which states: "If you don't work you're eaten!" The teen twins are not sure who they are more afraid of, the evil new regime, the demonic forces or their psycho-mother! Bell was left blind and deaf after encountering a demon sent by the "Shadow of Deception." Both twins are running on blind faith at this point. At key moments an invisible King from another world leads the sisters but they've grown up in a time where even swearing is punished. Believing in the unseen King holds a sentence of death. Oh, everything holds a sentence of death! This is the sequel to, "The Wasting." You may read this as a stand-alone book. (I highly recommend you read the first one.) (I add 1-2 chapters weekly!
