When Alec Lightwood falls for Clary Fray the second highest female Shadowhunter in Brooklyn Jace gets jealous and will do anything to keep Clary as his now girlfriend. The legend goes for those who have marks that match or are connected then when they have a child the child will have the same mark of the matching marks or the seperate but connected marks will have been attatched when the child is born.
