She is a medical doctor at Kindred Hospital in L.A. However, Emma works so much to keep the memory of what happened to her buried deep inside. She does not let her mind wonder to the patch of mountain where the wild red roses grow. The day started like any other Wednesday. That is until she runs into a handsome fire fighter crunched over in a quiet hall. Evan Buckley was there for his friend, Eddie. Eddie had been shot while on a call. Over the next few weeks, Emma and Buck bond. After Eddie's release, Buck can't shake the memory of Emma. Emma also felt a connection with Buck. However, in order to move on with her life, she must face the memories and reality of what happened to her.

After a night of great fun, video games and a lot of beer, something happens and makes Buck and Eddie confused by how they feel about each other.

After the earthquake (2 x 01) When the team got out , everyone was as okay as the could be. But not everyone. Buck actually got hurt whenever they had to jump into to the elevator opening, but neither Eddie nor Buck knew how bad it was because they forgot. Little did they know they were in for the long haul.
