They don't play to win. They play to hurt. Sterling Academy's irresistible reputation all came crashing down last year when a list of the 'top thirty girls too...' had been anonymously published. Now recovering from the pits of hell the media dragged them through, the students at Sterling have been told to be silent. Not to talk of the list ever again; and thanks to new spiralling rumours, formal coming up, and the short term attention span of students. Everyone has started to move on. Almost everyone. Silence may be a deadly game, but Valè is willing to play, if it means revenge on those who created the list. And lucky for her, she has a pretty good idea. The Heartbreakers of Sterling. Caleb Delvaúx, Luca Cathans, Atlas McAllister and Sage Evander's. Forming a team of her own, Valè gets together a flawless group of girls that are equally starved for revenge...or a challenge. Revenge may be sweet. But heartbreak is sweeter. ______________________________ "We're not playing to win over social hierarchy. A military romantic suspense novel Major Cecelia Livingston isn't a soldier-she's a doctor. A damn good one. Trained in trauma, decorated with credentials, and hardened by deployment after deployment. But none of that matters the second she steps off the chopper and onto the dirt of an unofficial base that technically doesn't exist. Because the man waiting for her isn't interested in her rank. Or her reputation. Or her orders from command. Lieutenant Colonel Rhys Callan runs one of the most elite black ops units in the field-covert, brutal, and untouchable. He doesn't lose men. And six months ago, he buried his medic. He's not about to risk another one just because someone higher up decided to assign him a field doctor with no combat scars and too much heart. She's not welcome. He doesn't trust her. And he's made that painfully clear. But the mission clock is ticking. Tensions are rising. And when everything explodes-as it always does-there'll be no room for weakness, and no room for mistakes. She's determined to earn her place. He's determined to make sure she never gets close enough to try. In a war where survival depends on control, discipline, and silence, what happens when the one person you don't want in your world becomes the only one you can't lose? I shouldn't have been walking around alone at night. I shouldn't have stopped and watch the obviously crazy man set the building on fire. And I sure of hell shouldn't have accidentally caught his attention. Then maybe, just maybe I wouldn't have been kidnapped by the world's most evil super villain. And then hopefully right now I wouldn't be wishing that he wasn't completely crazy, and wanted to kill every super hero in the world, and that he would, I don't know, take me to the movies, hold my hand as we walked together, or maybe take me to dinner one night. You know normal, cute couple stuff. Instead he likes to kick puppies when no ones watching, dropping me from high buildings, and throwing people into traffic, annoyingly. Maybe if I had just minded my own business and kept walking, maybe I wouldn't have been taken by someone who's whole mission in life is to watch every super die, and cackle evilly while he thinks of it. Maybe if I had just minded my own business and kept walking, maybe I wouldn't start feeling bad for this super villain. Maybe I wouldn't be questioning everything I've ever learned about him. And God forbid, I wouldn't be loving a villain.

"Breathe." He dipped his head down so that his lips were right at my ear, his strong arm wrapped securely around my waist, molding my body into his. "If you're going to fall apart,." He starts, teeth gritted. "Now's the time. I'll be here to put you back together when it's over." I squeezed my eyes shut again, and I did just that. I fell apart. ******* Secrets. Lies. Deception. Murder. I'd seen and done it all. And not willingly. So I left. I sacrificed my freedom to save myself, and the only way to ensure my own safety was to start over. Clean slate. New people. New me. But the last thing I expected when I arrived at Manonwell Prep Academy was to be bombarded by a boy-no, a man who held some unknown vendetta against me. Call it obsession, infatuation, hatred. To me it was all one in the same. He was everywhere I turned, like a shadow. Watching me. Taunting me. Haunting me. And it was all because of something I did to him a long time ago. It was something so bad that he couldn't stand me, that he wanted me dead, and the idea of making my life a living hell was something that he took pride in. But I didn't remember. I had no clue what I could've done to him in the past, but he was hellbent on pushing me until I did. My plans on starting over were shattered the minute I stepped inside that school. He was the type of person that demanded your attention without having to speak. He was untamed and wild and unhinged. But what he didn't know was that the Winter Travers that he knew in past, the one I didn't remember, was no longer alive. I was different. She was gone and I was here. And he was everything I should've been afraid of. Sinister, quiet, manipulative, but I knew it would be a cold day in hell before I let him win. Ronan was like gasoline waiting to be doused on the fire that inside me, and if he was ready to burn, then so was I.

First book 🏒. Starting college was supposed to be Violet Vale's escape plan. New country. New city. New campus. And then there's Ethan Maddox-tattoos inked like warnings, that infuriating smirk, and a six-foot-five presence that fills every room like he owns it. Her brother's best friend. Her worst enemy. And now? Her accidental shadow at Northbridge University. Violet's spent years trading insults and eye-rolls with Ethan, ever since he became an honorary part of her family. But there's nothing brotherly about the way he looks at her now-or the way her pulse reacts when he calls her Vi like it's some kind of challenge. He's cocky. Infuriating. One year older. And the only person on campus who makes her feel anything at all. They're not friends. Definitely not something more. But the line between hate and something far messier is starting to blur. And when hearts get tangled... Someone's going to fall. Warning: May contain profanity and sexual content.
