WATTYS 2021 Historical Fiction winner | Writers Of The Past Series. 4000 years ago, in an empire where women were little more than flowers on the wall, one princess cemented her story in history and changed the art of writing for centuries to come. *** Based on the real-life Akkadian princess and high-priestess Enheduanna, this novel explores the life of history's first author. An outspoken visionary with a talent for writing down her deepest emotions, Enheduanna's life is turned upside-down when the god Nanna chooses her to become the high priestess of Ur. As her power in the city of Ur grows, so does her list of enemies. But her own safety is the least of her worries when thousands depend on her to keep the vengeful gods happy, and their land safe. #1 in Paranormal & #1 UNIQUE ranked story on Wattpad! When a monster called the Smiling Dark comes clawing at Tay Wilson's door, she quickly learns a demonic pet of the faerie kingdom is the least of her problems. The riders of the Wild Hunt are searching for brides, and more than one of them has his eyes set on her. *** Hunger Games meets ACOTAR *** *** PREORDER LADY OF THE WILD HUNT TODAY *** Tay Wilson is about to leave her Alaskan homesteading family for an internship working with a famous special effects designer in New York City when an accident leaves her and her friend alone to rescue a lost calf. Finding that calf as a fast-moving snowstorm closes in on the homestead is the last thing she wants to do, especially after having spent the last month stalked by an enormous, terrifying darkness sporting a volcanic smile and a serpentine tongue. Unfortunately for Tay, the entire legion of the Wild Hunt has come to whisk her soul away to their dark faerie kingdom, where she and several other women will be released into the Malumbrian Oaks, a forbidding forest of blood magic and secrets, to participate in the centuries-long sport of demonic and faerie lords hunting for brides. Captured, awaiting the Hunt, Tay discovers that her father is not the good-for-nothing oil rig worker of her mother's claims; he was once a Lord of the Wild Hunt, making her a halfbreed and eligible to compete in the games as the second only Lady of the Wild Hunt. To win, Tay must make it back to the castle with at least one bride of her own, while evading capture from every other Lord in the hunt and surviving the perils of the towering forest. All of this is difficult enough, but to get the help she needs to even survive until the start of the Hunt, she's forced to ally with and begins falling for Chiro, reigning Prince of Demons and Faeries. When Chiro chooses to join the hunt, the game of capture and evasion gets a lot more interesting.

A string of demonic screeches filled the air, this time closer, and - God forbid - sounded like it came from more than just one beast. Ty and Tobias shared a look of terror and quickly knelt by the small, covered opening as they raced and fumbled around for the grip. Definitely better down there than staying up here with Brutus and his new friends. 'Here! Get the other side!' Tobias shouted; his knuckles white as he dug his fingers beneath one side of the covering. Ty quickly went for the other as instructed. The plate was rusted to the edge where the lip was touched, making it difficult to lift. But they forced it, hissing through their teeth with exertion until the plate was finally pried open. Ty was about to tell Tobias to go through first when he heard it. A low growl, almost indistinguishable above the sound of the waterfall. It was enough to make him stop and look across into the distance. Under the moonlight, blackness was the only thing he could make out that painted over the buildings and paved streets. For a second, Ty thought he had imagined it. But then he saw them, half-obscured in the darkness. Black shiny fish eggs eyes that gleamed in the shadows. Crap. ________________________________ The day Tyfell Calum broke out of prison, was the day he suddenly found himself being hunted down. Through destruction and pandemonium, he had to leave his life behind in order to escape the summoners and demons hot on his trail. So who are these people hunting him down and why? He wasn't sure, but he had a feeling it had something to do with how he had rewinded time by accident. In this new world Ty suddenly found himself thrown in, he is faced with bloodthirsty demons, new enemies and so many magical powers beyond his imagination. Before he can find answers, Ty must get ready to fight and protect the ones he loves. And with his new powers, maybe it might not be so hard after all. Copyright © 2021 All rights reserved.
