Nico tried to flatten his rapidly curling hair in the heat. Perks of living in California, he guessed. The walk to the beach was short, and he knew the way even though he almost never went. Hazel walked beside him, her hands in the pockets of her bathing suit cover up, and she smiled softly. Will wiped beads sweat off his forehead. He had reduced his clothing to a tank top and shorts, but even so it was hot, which was rare for him. Perks of living in California, he guessed. The sand beneath his flip flops shifted with every step and the waves looked cool and inviting. He looked up and saw someone.

When Will is told he has to go to high school, he doesn't have much of an opinion. Go there, protect some students, hang out with people he barely knew, be over with it. Fine, whatever. Though he finds himself having to be near a Nico Di Angelo an awful lot... Nico'd rather not be near anyone, period. People were annoying, after all, and he didn't trust them much. He was only here because he didn't feel like saying no. He's forced to be near a certain Will Solace, though, and said Will Solace may just change his mind on people. Everyday Nico goes into his favorite coffee shop and everyday there's something different written on his cup in purple marker. It happens for 29 days, until he says something other then what he wants to drink.

Nico di Angelo is a forensic pathologist, well, training to be one. He spends his days examining dead bodies and learning how they died. Pretty cool, right? Will Solace is training to be a nurse. His goal is to prevent as many bodies from needing to be examined as possible. He wanted to save people. When these two move in together, many adventures follow, because honestly, what else can you expect when two complete opposites try to coexist? As time goes on they learn that maybe they aren't so different after all. Characters belong to Rick Riordan, but the plot and all that belong to me. Nico di Angelo- The child of Hades. He was a depressed ball of rage wherever he went. He preferred spending his time in his cabin, alone. He would often forget to take care of himself such as go outside to eat. Nobody would ever like him. Or so he thought... Will Solace- The child of Apollo. Basically a dream. He lifted everyone's spirit as soon as he walked through the door. He literally glowed when he was happy, which was most of the time. He was the best healer out of the whole camp. Come on, who wouldn't have the hots for a smart, hot, teen doctor? So out of all the people he could've found interesting, why Nico? That's what the child of Hades is trying to figure out while he's oblivious to the complete obvious. Might Will actually have a chance to break down Nico's walls and find the key to his heart?

Solangelo high school au Usually Will Solace doesn't have problems finding friends, but this time everything is different. He gets in a fight his very first day at the new school and he meets Nico di Angelo. Just slowly he understands why the boy keeps pushing everyone away, how broken he is and what he feels for him.
