He wraps his muscular arms around me and I am lifted from my seat before he smashes me against the bookshelves.I moan in pain as some of the books fall off the shelves, this eliciting a low growl from Ian as he pushes himself closer to me. He brings one hand around my throat and the other cages me by my waist. My breathing becomes rapid and he leans in. His minty breath fans across my face as he whispers into my ear "Don't test me angel" I try pushing him away with my free hands. "Uh uh uhhhh" he tuts at me while pushing his body closer to mine, pinning me against the bookshelves so I can't escape. He takes one of his hands and pins both of my hands above my head with his other hand firm around my throat, the cool metal of his rings pressing and sending chills down my body. "I think you've done enough talking" he whispers loudly, our faces only inches apart. ------------------------------- Aubrey Carter is a 17 year old girl who has just moved from Australia to America for her final year of school. Ian feels a strong connection to Aubrey as she is the first person to have made him laugh let alone smile since the day his life derailed. Ian vows to make Aubrey his no matter what. And Aubrey is confused as to why someone like him is so damn possessive, hell even interested in someone like her. ------------------------------- I update as often as I can which is usually once-twice a week with 1,500+ word chapters. I promise the writing and content of the chapters gets better as you progress through the story!

"You are mine!" He roars. "I will do whatever it takes to make you know that. Whether it means I lock you up in a prison and throw away the key." Footsteps come rushing into the dining room, and I turn to see multiple men--guards I suppose, flanking one another. Each of their hands rest on things within their jackets. Which i can only guess are guns. What else would they be? He waves them off and stalks towards me, standing behind my chair. I try to turn my head to look behind me, at him, but his hands move to the sides of my face, stopping me. "I can give you the world Mia. I am no fool. I know that love takes time, and I will give you as much as it takes. But you are mine." He says so calmly. -------------------------- When Mia Jones, a College student from Australia with a mysterious past is offered the opportunity to work as a translator for a man she had never heard of in New York City, she had assumed it would be a normal job, little did she know it would be the end of her freedom. Matteo Giovanni is the most feared Mafia leader in New York, and the whole country, heir to the Italian Mafia, he is used to getting what he wants. And when he sees Mia walk into his office for a job interview, he knows he wants her. She is his light, and he is her darkness. Will Mia ever be able to escape Matteo and the Mafia, or will she fall in love before she can stop herself? WARNING: Within this story there is coarse language, themes and violence. ______________________ #1 in Romance 29/10/2020 ----------------------------------- Began: 21/08/2020 Completed: 13/01/2021

My mother gave me gifts so I could grow flowers. And now, I use my writing to give flowers back to her, the world, and create beautiful things for others. To the immigrant kid waiting for their parents to come home, this is for you. I see you. To the young woman unsure of if she will ever have a life of fairness, this is for you. I see you. To anyone who has ever felt alone, this is for you. I see you. * This is a collection of my shorter pieces, both poetry and stories about my experiences and my life. Being a young woman who is Chinese-Canadian I have wrangled with questions of loss of culture, identity, belonging, language, safety, and meaning-making all my life. I don't have all the answers but writing helps me examine the questions in my head and find peace. With poetry and writing that is accessible, emotional, honest, and full of heart, Flowers from my Mother is an exploration of feminism, racism, environmentalism, identity, pain, loss, hope, and most of all: beauty.

This is a journey of two meta-humans: Seraphine Grove who attends the Hero Prep School and Kal Knox who attends the Villain Academy. They both have the ability to channel electricity to create lightning, which is known as Electrokinesis. Kal's commitment to his father leads him to Sera on a co-op mission, while Sera's past leads her to Kal. This story is paradoxical, but it also breaks boundaries of cliches discussed in many other love stories. I may use the term "Hero" and "Villain" , but I hope you recognize that these titles are subjective to whose story you are reading. The only difference between them is the beholder's perception. There's light. There's dark. There's light in dark and vice versa. Nothing is truly black and white. Hell, nothing is just subjective to colors. Through this collection of excerpts, I play with the idea of biases, constantly changing the focal point. Shedding light, or illuminating shadows. Maybe the Hero makes the wrongs choices for the right reason, or maybe the Villain grasps on to the frayed edges of his morality too tightly. Although I focus on these characters falling in love, I also draw light to both of them falling in love with being alive. I hope you too, fall in love with being alive. There's no better way to live then through the thousands of characters embedded in the pages of a great novel. I wish for you to see your flaws (and strengths) in them. I guess I've succeeded if you think that you would have loved her, or fallen for him.

[COMPLETED] *Story contains MATURE and EXPLICIT content* "This just can't happen" I tell him, as I start to walk past him. I come to a halt when his hand catches my arm. He presses his chest against my back and leans his face down to rest his lips near my ear "Why can't it? Leah I know I'm not the only one who feels this" he murmurs lowly. The closeness and his breath against my skin making me suck in a sharp breath. I turn around and face him "I won't hurt you if that's what you're worried about" he says softly looking down at his feet for a moment then back up to my eyes. I grab his face and kiss him. I couldn't take it any longer, but shock him when I pull away. "I can't take that risk" I confess, trying to ignore the sharp pain in my chest as I walk away from the person I wanted most.
