Skylar Hall can't remember a single time in his life that he has had his shit together. His brother, Jessie Hall, is the complete opposite. The guy is outgoing, has excellent grades, and tons of friends. Of course, Skylar has friends too, but they have a tendency to get him into trouble. Jessie has good friends. Well, except one. His best friend, Ashton Rivera. That guy sucks, Skylar can't remember a single time in his life he could stand him. He just loves to get a rise out of Skylar, loves to piss him off to no end. The fact that they hooked up once is his main ammunition, and it drives Skylar insane. The things he'd do for that guy to leave him alone for good. Skylar, on the other hand, is an addict with absolutely no self preservation and far too many enemies to count. He gets horrible grades, and participates in even worse stunts for his friend's channel online. He is basically injured at all times, and has racked up enough money in hospital bills for his dad-Mayor Vince Hall-to finally get fed up. So, after a series of bad choices, Skylar is told that one more incident will result in him being kicked out of the house. He doesn't take the threat all that seriously, until Jessie-his only protection-is accepted into a college hours away and will be leaving him. That guy vouching for him is basically the only reason that Skylar's dad has put up with his least favorite son's shenanigans all these years. So, the threat starts to feel more real. Then, it happens, and the only person left for Skylar to rely on is Ashton Rivera-who he begins to realize has some serious secrets. Secrets not even Jessie knows. Secrets that become Skylar's new mission to investigate every detail of. - [!!WARNINGS!! This book will deal with serious topics such as addiction and crime. It was somewhat inspired by my book Stalemate so it will hold some similarities to that as well! Also there's probably going to be a decent amount of violence and even more sexual content.]

Shannon Cole has always survived by noticing what others miss. Numbers stick. Faces linger. Conversations don't fade. In the hood, that kind of mind doesn't stay unnoticed-it gets used. Shannon has become a quiet resource, passed between crews whenever something needs remembering, calculating, or confirming. He tells himself it's temporary. Just helping. Just staying afloat. Until everyone wants him. As gangs begin circling closer, access to Shannon turns into competition-and then into risk. Because when too many people want what you know, someone eventually decides you're too valuable to share. Tiger Laurent doesn't compete. He decides. Tiger runs things with calm precision, and when he claims Shannon, it isn't curiosity-it's control. Pulled out of circulation and placed under Tiger's watch, Shannon finds himself safer than he's ever been-and more trapped than he imagined possible. Protection blurs into possession. Use starts to feel permanent. And the more indispensable Shannon becomes, the harder it is to tell whether he's being kept alive... or quietly erased.

But then Nicky Haddad comes in. And he comes again. And again. And again. And suddenly, working the morning shift doesn't seem all that bad. (Double POV story)

Thomas needed a vacation, but that didn't mean he wanted one. His best friend convinced him to come down to his family's beach house for the summer to unwind, to relax for once. Thomas wasn't swayed easily, but he found himself on a flight to Florida regardless, albeit begrudgingly. Thomas intended to mope around for the three months, drink away his problems, and maybe get a tan in the process. However, his plans were thwarted when an unwanted houseguest from his past arrived the day after his getting there, leaving a bitter tang on the entire "vacation." Not to mention, Thomas was forced to share what he thought was his room with his best friend's wife's ridiculously handsome brother, Dallas. Thomas was on the cusp of drowning in the first week. Relaxation wasn't even on the agenda. He just had to try to keep his head above water.

Kita Daelle's life is fairly simple, spending his days helping his parents with their pub while trying to maintain a normal sleep schedule and care for his reckless best friend. Said best friend's life is far more interesting-it's hard to be boring when your profession is hunting monsters. Vampires are the worst of them, and nobody hates them more than Alexis Sinclair. He is next in line to rule Amarath, the empire that has been at war with the species for centuries. Alexis is more than fit for the role. He's killed hundreds of monsters, is respected by all, a natural born leader. The only thing keeping him from taking over the throne is his lack of marital status. Unfortunately, nobody seems to catch his eye. Thankfully, Kita can help with that. Alexis has a lot going on at basically any given time. He's under a lot of pressure, and right when it's starting to crush him, he's given a solution: just marry his best friend. Then Alexis won't have to settle, and Kita won't lose him to another commitment. All problems seem solved, that is, until one night, when Kita's involved with an incident that ends up changing the course of his life for good. Kita Sinclair's life is fairly simple, until he becomes the very species the Sinclair family has sworn to eradicate entirely. Unfortunately, he also hates being a hero, but there's one thing that makes it worth it. The numbered. A series of villains who appeared out of nowhere and have an exceptional skill at avoiding the law, heroes, and just generally winning or evading consequences. Consequences, which are the only part of Harlan's job he enjoys. Harlan wants to find the root of it all more than anything, and he's beginning to get close. He intends to find out at any cost. [COMPLETED] [2025 Wattys Honorable Mention] Danny's neighbor should be illegal. There's no way someone should be that attractive. They've lived next door to each other for over a year. As a skinny, clumsy, sweater-loving, Modern Poetry professor, Danny never believed someone like him could catch the eye of someone as perfect as Brett. But when Danny (accidentally) RSVPs to a destination wedding he never wanted to attend, he realizes he's in a bind-he needs a plus-one. And somehow, Brett becomes his unexpected solution. Brett's MMA career was on the brink of greatness until an injury stopped him cold. Now, trying to reclaim his spot in the octagon and live up to heavy expectations, the last thing Brett expected was to build a friendship with the neighbor he's been crushing on. However, Danny is undeniably gorgeous and way out of his league, so he needs to maintain realistic expectations. But, when Danny needs a date for a destination wedding, Brett's first instinct is to offer his help. Being his fake boyfriend would not be a hardship. A romantic beach, a fake relationship, and one bed... what could go wrong? Genre: Contemporary Romance / Fake Relationship / Friends to Love / HEA Guaranteed / Dual POV There will be mature scenes between two men that I will mark accordingly. These scenes are intended for mature audiences. This is a spin-off of the worlds of King of Hawkings/Death & Tequila and A New Song/Beats of the Heart, but it is a stand-alone novel, so reading the other novels is unnecessary. However, some old characters will appear, so you may enjoy it more with the full background.

At first glance, nobody would be able to tell that Nathaniel Jean had a problem. Or second glance, or third, or fourth. After all, he had everything. He was a captain of his school's soccer team and one of the top players in the state. He had a big house and money to spend. He had family, he had friends, he had fun, he had faith. He never meant for it to happen. He never wanted to look at another man in the way he should have been looking at a woman. The idea had disgusted him for most of his life - living in a heavily Catholic town with heavily Catholic parents, homophobia was the only response he knew. That didn't change when he first realized that he didn't like girls. No, Nathaniel Jean was still homophobic. He hated the idea of a man sleeping with another man. He was raised on the notion that all gays went to hell, and he believed it. He despised them, and so he despised himself. Nathaniel Jean was more fortunate than most, because help did arrive for him. Help by the name of Lucas Morgan, they boy he'd always known but never known. The boy with big dreams and bigger talent. The boy that changed Nathaniel's life over the course of their thirty-six week long senior year.
