[Book 1] Crawlers: once normal people like you or me. They had hobbies, families, friends, interests, but now they are feral monsters. The infection spread, wiping out almost half the human race, and leaving the rest as either Crawlers or Survivors. The infected's eyes will black out, before giant, black, bug-like legs will rip out of their back, giving them a newfound speed and agility, as well as an insatiable bloodlust. Body fluids entering any open wound, including the eyes, mouth, and nose, will seal the person's fate; they are now infected. It won't be long before they start screeching at the moon in a mock howl. The problem is, I am infected. I turned but retained most of my humanity. With my new lifestyle in a new world, I can't expect anything or anyone to act as I predict. My biggest question is, can I save my humanity? Or will I simply become part of the mindless feral swarm?

Well here we are. The end of the world. Not all it was cracked up to be huh? But I'm not one to talk as I'm a zombie, yep you heard correctly, a dead brain eating zombie. But how am I so aware, don't ask me. All I know is that the world has fell, and it really is society's fault.

The zombie apocalypse struck. Whole civilizations crumbled. People fled. Some survived, some died. Most turned. Megan Johnson was living in New Mexico Tech, a college in Socorro, NM, when the virus struck. She was a typical girl, going to college and getting her degree. I will probably delete this story sometime soon. Maybe I won't. This was when I was young. It was a bad fanfic, at least by my standards. I do not want my legacy on the internet to be this. I might remake it, probably not. For new readers, this is a hiatus book. A spinoff of Crystal Schere's A Virus Within. If you haven't read the original. Basically, new type of zombies, and main character has it.
