Dream and Blueberry have been trying their best to hold the line against Nightmare and his lackeys, but when a fight goes south and Dream is near-fatally injured, what is Nightmare to do but take him to his castle? Although Dreamtale and all of its characters belong to Joku, this story relies heavily on fanon and headcanons. This is because I find the canon of Dreamtale to be unsatisfying. In my opinion, canon Dream is a mary-sue, Nightmare is a victim who lives to show how good his brother is, and all of the endings fail, in my eyes, to tie up the loose ends in the story in a satisfactory way. Remember, this is just my opinion! Similarly, most characters depicted in this story vary slightly from their respective canons, this has been down to fit the story better. Two stories, brought together by twists, turns, and a mess of events. (Y/N), a kindly soul from Recoverytale, finds themselves assuming the role of hero, a role they never wanted. They both wish for their happy ending, but it'll take more than hopes and dreams to get it. Meanwhile, Nightmare is in a state of divided conflict. As he rebels against the Darkness, the Darkness fights back. Nightmare is just as desperate as (N/N)-if he doesn't stop himself, the Multiverse will be torn apart at his hands. Dream is trying desperately to both protect (Y/N) and save his brother. But there's no time to save both of them before the Multiverse collapses into chaos.
