Those kids would not only get to leave the isle to attend but also get the chance to make a proper and good name for themselves apart from their parents. Of course, there are those against it such as Prince Roman who despite Patton's attempts to get to understand, is horrified about it. Even going so far as to try and pull his twin Remus from helping. Remus does anyway alongside their friend Remy who's only there for the drama. Roman was unsuccessful in stopping the raffle and now all thats left is to see who wins. What three kids will get the chance to leave the isle and what will they do with their new found freedom?

Virgil is the new kid in town, and when the four sides are placed in the same group for chemistry, developing relationships and drama ensues. Roman is forced to face the skeletons in his closet, the new kid in town takes a liking to Patton, and both Virgil and Logan struggle to maintain control of themselves and their feelings as they are flung out of their comfort zones. What I mean by that is that it's pretty much just fluff but, let's be honest, the whole plot basically revolves around this romance thing. It ain't light.

Patton lives in a world where the first words your soulmate says to you is written on your skin. The permentant presence of the words 'You're in my seat' on his thigh had yet to disappear until his soulmate utters them one day. Deep down he dreaded that day. You see, Patton had no interest in a romantic relationship which was abnormal in a world ruled by the soulmate system. Virgil hated the soulmate system. He hated it because it gave him the words 'well aren't you a ray of sunshine' printed boldly on his forehead. Luckily for him, foundation was his best friend (and his only friend, for that matter). He never showed it, but he longed for the day his soulmate would sweep the aggravating statement off his forehead and him off his feet. Logan, to put it simply, was married to his work. A love interest didn't interest him in the slightest. The only heed he took that the soulmate system existed was the thinly printed 'what did you say?' on his left palm. He heard that statement a lot but the mild annoyance on his hand was yet to disappear. Roman lived up to his name as a big romantic. In his eyes, the soulmate system was the best thing to happen to him, so the fact that the words written on his collarbone were 'go away' really burst his bubble. The thought of spending his life with his 'other half' was enthralling to him, but the fact his dad expected him to settle down with a nice girl was terrifying. A Sequel to Lesson In Practicality! Living together was the best and most difficult thing they've ever done, but after all the things they went through together, there was no way they were splitting up now. A new apartment, a new start... and things can never be simple, can they? Roman, Patton, Logan, and Virgil just want to live their lives with their powers and each other, but having powers just makes things more complicated than they need to be.

Four seemingly random strangers all answer an ad to move into an apartment in downtown. It didn't take more than a few months before they all realize they've been hiding a secret from one another... they each have a special ability. Now they're just trying to live their lives day by day as they figure their powers, and each other, out. (Beginning/initial idea inspired by PoPS on yt)

Virgil moved to New York to try and move past his old demons that had been causing him to struggle in life since he was thirteen. The problem is, he's got limited money, and being new in town means he's got no friends and certainly no family to turn to for help. However, he happens to catch a lucky break by getting a job as a technician for a musical. The anxious young man wasn't expecting to fall in love with the Broadway star playing the lead though. This book is completed.
