A collection of my original poetry about love, despair and longing. Most of my poetry is a reflection of my real life or based on personal issues, so bear that in mind while reading;

Waking up next to another boy, when you were also a boy, was a little more interesting, but still nothing to write home about. But waking up in Nico Beckett's sheets? To Wesley, it was a nightmare come to life. ~~~ Wesley Dillon's life was uneventful, and frankly, he liked it that way. He didn't get into trouble, he kept his grades up, he played it safe. He never did anything to rock the boat he was floating in, the calm waters of his lake left undisturbed. Now starting his last year in high school, Wes was content to continue living his life as he always has - but sometimes, and only sometimes, he caught himself wishing that something could make ripples in his tiny world. The same cliche story of a nerd and jock falling in love. But what happens when the nerd turns out to be a boy that doesn't take shit from anybody and plays hard to get. "But in one condition; we do it outside the school. I don't want people knowing I'm hanging out with you." He said giving me a disgusted look. "Don't worry, I don't want people knowing I'm hanging out with a dumbass either." I snapped back. "Listen here you." He said while grabbing my collar. "Your little mouth is going to get you in trouble someday." He said between gritted teeth. "I'm sorry, my mouth can't control itself when it's presented to stupidity as low as yours." I said with a smirk crafted on my face. His face turned red and you could see a small vein pop out of his empty head. .......... Find out what happens next.

At least, that's what Zachary thought when he found himself on the streets after being kicked out at seventeen. It hadn't been his fault. His father had used him as a scapegoat and won his mother over, thinking that her husband was telling the truth about his cheating and that Zachary was the one who was bringing women over, trying to ruin their marriage. He'd argued his side, but once his mother decided on something, her mind would not be changed. That's how he came to live in the alley near the end of 73rd street between the old bakery and a laundromat. It wasn't anything special, but after three years he'd managed to spruce up the place and make it almost-bearable to live in. Over the years he'd made friends with random people he often passed on the streets and did manage to hold down a few random jobs, but like everything else, they came, then went. Now he was left with fifteen dollars and twenty-two cents, a torn blanket, one outfit, and a dream for a better life. He just didn't know that he'd find it somewhere he'd never thought to look... or with someone he never knew he'd want.
