Eleanor never really stood a chance. Her mother was in love with a married man and a little bit crazy. And even though Eleanor's tired mother hated children, she was convinced that he would love her too if they just had a child together. That's how Eleanor was born. And when Eleanor didn't work, when he didn't leave his wife, she decided that one baby wasn't enough and so she had another. And that's how Casey was born. When she realized that having his children wasn't going to make him fall in love with her, she remembered just how badly she hated children. Eleanor and Casey were suddenly thrown aside by their broken-hearted mother; and then their father, being the married man that he was, completely denied their existence. Which left 8-year-old Eleanor and newborn baby Casey in foster care, hidden from the world like a blemish. As Eleanor gets older, she is forced to protect her brother from the cruel world that they live in. She doesn't want him to grow up like she did, feeling like a thrown away misfit. Eleanor learns that she needs to do whatever it takes to get her brother a better life. And that's when the trouble starts for her. By the time that Eleanor turns 22, she has been consumed by a world of lies, money, and sex. Convinced that doing the wrong thing is okay for the right reasons, Eleanor is used to living with two separate identities. When it all starts to catch up with her, Eleanor has to figure out how she is going to make it out of the mess that she's created. Poor girl. She never really stood a chance.

It's some kind of literary form. Quote me: k.t. Sometimes explaining something does not give it meaning, but leaves it without purpose.

Some say I see life through a rose-colored glass But there is simply not enough space! If you tried to contain all the love that I hide The glass would shatter the hinges would break It fits more to say that I bought a house to coat in pink in which porch I sit and I spin my romantic fantasies This book started merely as a journal of my feelings, all disguised in the shape of quotes and poems that I Identified with (and was secretly dedicating to my crush). Later down the line, I started writing my own! I take zero credit for the works tagged as "unknown". If you know who they belong to, please leave a comment. Otherwise, enjoy my thoughts in prose! #1 on poetry - 4/9/19

Do our memories even exist? We make them but it doesn't last forever. Where do our memories go? Is there a certain place where they can live forever and never forgotten? Our mind and heart are connected to each other. We love to remember things, the best and even the worst memories, it is undeniable. We express our feelings, sometimes the feeling of someone's not interested in you, someone doesn't care for you and everyone is against you. But sometimes, it is the best of both worlds. So we write. We write it in a diary, but writing a poem have a different feeling on it. It is a place where memories live.

"You trust me?" he asked, eyes turning soft once they made contact. "Maj, I-I-" "I said do you trust me, Lucky?" he repeated, voice hard. "...yes," she breathed out, and his next words came without hesitation, sending a chill down her spine. "Then shoot."

He slowly backs up until his back is against the wall like my own, "You're..my neighbor?" He points to my door and I nod my head quickly. He hums softly, "You been here a while?" He asks and I nod my head once again. He chuckles, "Ya head hurt?" I nod again but stop as he laughs softly, "I-I mean.. no.. it doesn't." My cheeks burn red as I look at my shoes, "I-It doesn't hurt.." I repeat like a dummy and listen to him clear his throat, "So do you actually live there or was it bull?" He nods to my door and I play with my fingers, "Yeah.. I do.." I feel his eyes watch me and I quickly stop. "You live with your boyfriend or do you like sweatshirts that reach your knees?" He teased, making a giggle slip past my lips. I look away to the floor again, "I-I like big shirts... a lot." I mumble softly and he nods his head, "Hol' up." He puts his box down before walking over to one of the grey bins. I nosily watch as he pulls out a big grey sweatshirt, "Here." He holds it out for me to take and I stare at him with wide eyes, "F-For me?" I hesitantly grab the soft fabric as he chuckles, "Nah for ya mom." I puff my cheeks a little and give him a small glare, "Hush." He leans back against the wall and shakes his head, "It's cold out. You should put it on." ____________________________ She was a shy girl from the city with no spine and a list of problems so long that it could touch the floor and roll off her shoes. Though troublesome, she never truly minded because despite her fears, she was a smart little thing and worked around it. But like many of us, it kept her trapped in a tight little box. The fear of pain, insecurities, and endless thoughts held her back from the life she dreamt of. Until she met him. He was everything she could pray for and more. Tall, dark, handsome, intelligent, and caring. Perhaps she could peek out her little box.. just this once? __________ PLEASE STOP COPY PASTING MY BOOK!!!!
