*What is the right age to be divorced? *What is the right age to stand up for yourself? *Who comes first? Self or family? Trust me, no woman will be able to answer these questions when her own life is breaking apart. And, I pray nobody should have to! One might be able to offer opinions and judgments from an outsider's perspective. Will this patriarchal society open its welcoming arms for a divorced woman as it does for a man? Will the judgmental and hypocritical society drop the game of victim-blaming and shaming? ♣♣♣ At 48, Padmini felt devastated and doomed, when she realised that 30 years of her fight to keep surviving in the abusive marriage had been nothing but futile effort. The revelation that her husband Chandrakanth had been in a steady affair for the past ten plus years while being married to her shattered her wounded soul beyond measures. She had lost her voice in the process of keeping this relationship. Will she continue to be his puppet "till death does them apart"? Or will she find her voice?
