Since the killing of George Floyd on May 25th, the news have been relating the circumstances of his death and its aftermath. I've been turning down the volume during the reports for fear of shocking my toddlers, and also, to my great shame, because my sensitive soul couldn't bear the images of his last moments. But I won't stay silent any longer, nor will I turn down the volume again. I stand with Black people.
