Cleveland Fayette. A 17-year-old innocent girl who has been through too much in her life. She has been used to never getting her hopes up, knowing all too well they will eventually come crashing down. The only thing constant in her life is the feeling of loneliness. Cleveland has never thought of filling that void with another person, but that was until she met Jayce. Jayce DaCoasta. A 20-year-old man who is controlled by his alternate personality disorder. He's closed himself off and never fully trusted anyone. He just wishes to be left alone, but when that doesn't happen, his other personality loves to express his anger with his hands. With the help of everyone that's had the pleasure of meeting him, he's well known for the damage he causes when his other personality takes over. His temper has always been a problem, but that was until Jayce laid his eyes on the little hazel-eyed girl. And he won't let anything get in his way of claiming his Baby Cleve.

He began walking over to me. This is it. I'm dead. I saw his shoes come into my view as I was looking down, hair covering my face. "Look at me." He growled out. I started to cry, too afraid to look. He grasped my chin and lifted my face to meet his. I mentally gasped. It's the guy from last night. His eyes held surprise too, before anger erupted in them. I cowered back in fear of what he might do. "Who did this to your face?" He growled. I started to cry again and shake. "Him." I whispered and gave a small nod toward the guy who hit me.
