For weeks, Kara sees the beautiful, dark-haired girl on the back of the bus but is too shy to speak. When Kara finally gets up the nerve to talk to this girl, it will send her on an emotional journey that will have her questioning the rules of the world as she knows it and her own sanity. This fic does deal with topics of mental illness, so please, be aware.

Kara Danvers has a heart of steel. So does Lena Luthor. However, their versions of steel are a bit different. Their relationship is tested when an attack occurs and Kara's secret is revealed to Lena. Not only that but a new Danvers comes home to stir up some confusion.

When the students for the first intergalactic exchange are picked, Lena is despondent that not being eighteen yet keeps her off the list while Lex gets to travel among the stars.
