What if during the battle with the Royals at the end of UnOrdinary's season 1, Remi had gotten what she wanted and exposed John during the fight? What if John suddenly became remorseful after seeing how Seraphina reacted? What if he decided he needed to make a drastic change? This story explores this idea, with an added twist (read to find out) to make it a little more interesting. It is also completely from John's point of view. My writing style is not completely normal, so while reading this, try to remember that quotes is for someone speaking, italics are internal present tense thoughts, and normal writing is past tense narration of what is happening. If you have not read Season 1 of UnOrdinary, you should before reading this. All the characters in the fanfic are of course uru-chan's. Only the plot is my own.

Life has its ways of bringing you back to deal with your old problems. You know, the ones you tried to forget about, ultimately being left unresolved until they pop up again. When you face those problems again, there are two options you can choose from. One, solve it and move on. Two, make it worse. Liana, a Wellston student and a part-time barista, has an ability she's been mostly hiding her whole life, only letting it out in small, controlled spurts. When things in her second-year begin to deteriorate, with conflicts both inside and out threatening both their supposed-to-be normal school lives, and tearing the hierarchy apart, she has two choices. Get over her trauma and master her ability, or stand by and watch everyone suffer. However, rather than sticking with the idea of only two possible outcomes that both bring their own struggles, she chose an option that wasn't presented.
