Sterling Carter's life is built on control-perfect grades, perfect form, perfect trajectory straight to the Olympic volleyball team. At twenty-two, she's the star outside hitter at the University of Michigan and top of her class in dentistry, the golden product of an old-money family that only loves success. One game, one bad landing, and one opponent's foot hidden under the net is all it takes to blow it apart. With a torn ACL and PCL and a nine-to-twelve-month recovery, Sterling's dream is suddenly on life support. The scouts stop calling. Her parents pull away. For the first time in her life, there's no plan she can grind her way through, no version of "try harder" that will fix what's broken. Enter Maddox King-twenty-four, captain of Michigan's D1 hockey team, human freight train on the ice, and soft-hearted menace off it. He has everything Sterling doesn't: a loud, loving family, a stupidly loyal group of friends, and the unshakable belief that people are worth more than what they can do. When a twist of timing and one overinvested best friend pull Sterling into Maddox's orbit, he becomes the one person who refuses to treat her like she's ruined. As the season she was supposed to dominate turns into a year on the sideline, Sterling has to learn how to exist without the one thing that's always defined her-and decide whether letting Maddox in is one more risky play she can't afford... or the first choice she makes entirely for herself. Completed • First Draft - not edited. || "You gonna sit there all night?" Luka glances at me, smirking. I glare back. "I was enjoying the last few seconds of peace before having to spend an evening pretending to like you." "That's funny," he says, unbuckling his seatbelt. "Why?" I snap. "Because I was thinking the same thing." || The rules? Easy enough. 1. Pretend to be the perfect couple. 2. Keep it professional. 3. And whatever you do, don't. catch. feelings. Simple, right? Sofia Calloway never planned on going viral for throwing a drink in Luka Mikhaylov's face. But one video, one pissed-off hockey star, and one furious university later... she's suddenly stuck in a fake relationship with the guy she can't stand. He needs to clean up his image before the NHL draft. She needs the free tuition that comes with the deal. All they have to do is smile for the cameras, hold hands at the games, and act like they don't want to strangle each other. Then come the late-night arguments that last too long. The stolen glances that feel too dangerous. The moment where "pretend" starts looking way too real. Because when you break the rules, someone's bound to lose. And this time, it might be both of them.

Everyone knows the number one rule in the locker room: Don't even look at the coach's daughter. But Maddie Blake has never been great at following rules. After years of living in her dad's shadow, legendary head coach of the NHL's top team, she's finally back in town, older, bolder, and completely over hockey... or so she tells herself. Then she meets Levi Hunter. Captain of the team. League MVP. NHL's golden boy. And the one guy her dad has literally warned every player about. He's cocky, charming, and stupidly gorgeous. And for some reason, he won't stay out of her way, or her thoughts. What starts as innocent flirting turns into stolen glances at practice, late night texts, and a spark that threatens to become something deeper. In a world where the game comes first, falling for him might just be the riskiest play Maddie's ever made. And in hockey, one wrong move can cost you everything. *closed door romance*

Rosie Moving to New York was my fresh start, a chance to get away from my disaster of a hometown, and maybe learn how to breathe on my own. Romance? Not on the itinerary. So when I meet a charming, overly confident guy at a bar with golden-blond hair and too many dimples than should be legal, and way too much flirt - I don't expect to see him again. Then I do... on the ice, the very next night. Dylan I've met plenty of girls in bars. Most of them know who I am, Rosie didn't. And maybe that's why I couldn't stop thinking about her. She was introverted and blunt and completely unimpressed with my attempt at a pick up line, which was honestly kind of refreshing. Seeing her in the stands at my game felt like fate. Running into her again afterward? Game on. A sweet, slow-burn hockey rom-com about unlikely connections, quiet confidence, and falling for someone who sees past the spotlight.

Sunflowers bloom and are usually cut once fully grown. They're marvelous flowers. Bright and magical, plus they smell absolutely wonderful. The catch is that once they're cut they might never come back, but if they do they'll never be quite as beautiful as they were when they first blossomed. My Sunflower loves came in all forms; a boy named Michael, a girl who adored bugs, and a picture taken by a guy I knew as Liam. But Theodore Cade Montgomery was determined to make sure he wasn't a Sunflower. I am way out of my league when I stand beside him, but he never seems to want to let go of my hand. ❁ ~-- I wish they told me how hard it would be to navigate through dating if you never experienced a relationship in high school. I wish I was informed about the difficulty of approaching and being approached. I wish that it was easier and that somehow I wasn't destined to screw it up. "Why do you keep calling me Benji?" "Because anyone can call you Winnie," Theo leans his forehead against mine, his eyes piercing mine as our breath flirts between us. "I can't stand thinking that I'm just anyone to you." --❁-- 73k+ words~

Grace Williams has one rule: keep hockey players at arm's length. They're cocky. They're reckless. And worst of all, they know it. As a sophomore business major, Grace has better things to do than babysit a roster of over-confident athletes. But when she lands the role of running her college's hockey team's social media, avoiding them isn't an option. Her job depends on perfect captions, flawless photos, and making the team look good on and off the ice. Enter Mason Watson-sophomore, star forward, and infuriatingly charismatic. He's everything Grace swore off: smug, athletic, and far too good-looking for his own good. Worse, he seems determined to test her patience every time their paths cross. But when Mason's performance on the ice starts drawing attention from scouts, Grace is the one stuck shadowing him for exclusive content. The closer they're forced to work, the blurrier the lines get between staged photos and something real.
