(Book 1 of the Abyssal Series) The day that Kai learns that he's half-human, half-merman and that he's the key to ending a 100-year-old war, is also the day that the entire ocean learns of his existence. For twenty-seven years his family had kept him hidden from the world, but now the strongest, most dangerous merman in all the seven seas knows about Kai, and he's coming to the surface for him. To ensure victory, King Marius the Conqueror must capture the half-breed prince of Astria, his nation's greatest enemy, and claim him as his Mate in order to absorb his power before he learns to use it. There's only one problem: there's nothing Marius hates more than humans -not even an Astrian- and Kai is both those things. But when Marius sees the beautiful Kai and clashes swords with him, the cold-blooded king's blood begins to boil for the very first time. Perhaps he can tolerate Kai long enough to fuck him and steal his power. When a dark, handsome, sword-wielding stranger attacks Kai in his home only hours after discovering his heritage, instead of running, Kai fights even though he knows he's no match. Defeated, Kai is kidnapped to a world he never knew existed and is held prisoner against his will. Thrust into a secret, dangerous aquatic world, Kai must learn to navigate swimming with a tail instead of legs and avoid a powerful, possessive King's advances if he wants to save his newly-discovered mer-people from annihilation.

When Alistair Melek gave his life to the sea, a various degree of things changed. For starters, his love for bloodshed was exemplified. Bolder. He was drawn to the clash of a sword, blood spiling below to floorboards, like a moth drawn to a flame. And this love was damned to spread through his crew as some treacherous disease, claiming any and all who joined. But he knew this was the price he'd pay. The price for the sea itself. So when his crew completes another standard loot and pillage from a merchant ship, he allows his men a bit of fun. He liked to give them an audience, rounding up those who didn't fall victim to the blade during battle, and forcing them to beg for their lives. To prove how much they really wanted to live. Alistair had ruled the sea for some years now. Killed thousands, maybe tens of thousands. Destroyed hundreds, maybe thousands of vessels. And yet, each feeble human was all the same. There was not one man he threatened that didn't beg for their lives with all they had in them when faced with the wrong end of the sword. Each feeble human was always the same. Or so he thought. And yet, he also thought that this would be one standard job. A treat for his men after a night of good work. But this particular survivor, the one with long white hair and dead looking eyes... He wasn't a merchant. He couldn't have been. More important, there was no hesitancy when Alistair asked the fairly built man whether he wanted to live, and the man replied with a simple no.

Cailleach Bheur. The Bringer of Winter. Demi-goddess queen of Wal'yah. I was supposed to be born a woman. I was supposed to lead my people, use the wisdom of the ancestors to keep them safe. I was supposed to be the greatest Cailleach since the beginning of creation, take the mantle from my grana and become what she promised me I was to be. I was meant to be their leader, and I failed them. I failed them all, and worse yet, I abandoned them. Left my home and family burning behind me, their blood coating my body, their lives bitter on my tongue. Their souls heavy in my heart. But I would return. I swore it on the blood of the goddess queens of my line. I would return, and I would bring the wrath of winter down on the men who thought to end my line. For I am Cailleach, I am my grana's grandson, and I am death to those who mean Wal'yah harm. I am death, I am destruction, and I am vengeance. Nothing would stand in my way, not even the two men who both should have been my enemies, but who I was in danger of falling much too hard for. Because I could not be weak. Not again. And my people deserved the vengeance I would bring down on the heads of our enemies. Even if it meant losing the men my heart yearned for. *****Bringer of Winter is a M/M/M polyamorous romance with magic, pirates, and gryphons. Because who doesn't like magic, pirates, and gryphons?? Trigger warnings in first chapter.*****

Horst McKenzie is a happy person... or at least, that's what he'd say if you asked him. It's also what he tries to make everyone believe, including himself, but as the hybrid son of a werewolf and a satyr, he is a living, breathing remnant from an otherwise traumatic and unwanted experience... and the shadow of that reality has followed him his whole life. But he's fine now! He has to be. The last five years of working on his relationships have paid off: his father's happy, his pack is flourishing, the alliances they've made over the years with other werewolves are rock solid, and he has a roof over his head. Food on the table. A comfortable place to sleep. Everything is too perfect to complain. Until it very suddenly isn't. In the same month that a covert underground program called the V.R.C. sends the very first vampire applicant to ever take the cure for a disease called Blood Rabies to live with him, for rehabilitation purposes, Horst also meets the one person he hates more than anyone else on the planet: the satyr who orchestrated an assault on his father and caused every single hardship in his life. Little by little, his brilliantly fake smile begins to fray. Little by little, the perfect picture of a happy future begins to crack. And little by little, the shadow he tries so hard to ignore looms larger over his horns. 🌻💛💗💛🌻 (This is the sequel to SLEEPSONG) Content warning: Please note that this story contains: - mild sexual/sensual scenes and references (much later) - mentions of sexual assault - depression Thanks to my cover artist - PaperRabbitsArt on twitter Copyright © by Aaron Ledgers.
