Happily Never After is the first book in what will hopefully become the "An Infection of the Heart" book series that I plan to write This book is simply going to be the introduction to the main characters and a closer look into the backstory of the leading two stars, Jay Alexander Halstead and Hailey Anne Upton. It will also explore the beginning of their new-found partnership and every bump and curveball that they hit along the way. I may add some of my own characters and change the backstory of the existing characters from how they are in the show but for any of the plot lines or the characters themselves that are used in the show all credit goes to Dick Wolf and Matt Olmstead P.s This book is mature rated simply because I don't know what direction this story will go. I have a fair amount of ideas for what I want to happen in this series, but all feedback and any other ideas are welcome and very much appreciated.

Hey guys so this is my second published fanfic. This time it's centred around how Jay and Hailey deal with the chaos of what happens in there lives during season 6 and 7 of CPD. This is a plot point recommended by @upsteadforever so I hope I do it justice (no pun intended) :). This is an Upstead based story but may contain characters of which I unfortunately do not have ownership of. Her home life is just like Hailey's was so it's no surprise that she's extremely shy. What happens when the little girl shows up at the district looking for Hailey? How will everyones life change? Will this little girl be the thing that pushes Jay and Hailey together? How will Jay react to Skylar being so close to Adam?
