Emma van der Bilt is clever, snarky, and spoiled rotten. William Knight is cocky, impatient, and slightly dimwitted. So how exactly did Will manage to kidnap Emma and her best friend twice and live to talk about it? *** "What the hell-" I screeched. "Good morning, sunshine." I looked up in alarm and saw the smirking face of my kidnapper. His face would have made me a lot angrier had it not been terribly swollen, thanks to yours truly. "I'd say good morning, but judging by the boner on your face, I'd say you weren't having such a good morning." His self-satisfied smirk fell almost instantly, and his partner-in-crime laughed out loud from the driver's seat. "Actually," he said, "I'm having a pretty good morning. My luck's about to change. You wanna know why?" I didn't answer. "I'll tell you why. I've successfully kidnapped the daughter of one of the richest men in the country." "Don't start counting your lucky stars just yet. This isn't over yet," I snapped. "Isn't it?" he asked, raising the eyebrow above his good eye. His other one remained in a permanent squint, and it made it kind of hard to take him seriously. "I'm not the one who's naked and tied up in a stranger's back seat." I glanced down at myself and noticed for the first time that I was in my bra and panties. Honestly, I was kind of relieved. When he'd said "naked," I'd assumed he meant birthday-suit naked, not half-naked. *** Warning: Rated PG-13 for sexual content and language. Mostly language. I have a colorful vocabulary.

Cousins Kevin and Georgina Peterson were not so lucky to be in a "family" that respected and wished for their joy. Being 3 years older, Kevin has always felt protective over Georgina. That might stem that they are the last close-linked members of the Peterson family. No surprise there when they are more like twins than cousins. Call it fate, or just a freak chance, they end up marrying into the same family, hoping for respect, joy and togetherness. However, they will not find that in the Davis clan. Their lives were made miserable by the members and friends of the powerful and wealthy Davis. People said they only married for the money and prestige but they didn't care, after all, words can't hurt people right? Oh, but they can. And they do. Topping that with the emotional and mental abuse they suffered at the hands of their respective spouses was enough to drive them away. Unwittingly, the Davis gave them more than the Peterson's came with. No, not 50 percent of the Davis wealth. They received nothing. But they received a will power and a drive and most of all a promise to never let any person hurt them ever again. And that mantra has done them well. Really well, if you consider them being in the list of the wealthiest family in Europe and Asia. Ever expanding the wealth and money, brings them back to where it all started. And with a wink and a smirk, they can confidently decree three little words; "We're back baby!" So sit back and read as hell unfolds.

They say that true human growth in humans is not their size or shape but their characters. I think that Helen Keller put it quaintly when she said "character cannot be developed in ease and quiet. Only through experience of trial and suffering can the soul be strengthened, ambition inspired, and success achieved." Truer words have never been spoken. Once upon a time I was an easy going child, immature and naïve and head over heels in love with a man. I gave him my all in gentleness and character. Then my trial began, I was thrown out, sabotaged and humiliated. That was but five years to this day. Now I have developed MY character through the suffering and trial. I am a new person. The line between virtue and vice is unclear to me and quite frankly makes little to no difference to me. Now I have to return to the place and to the people that wounded me, traumatized, took everything from me. Then killed me. I have no choice but to return. However I will say this: To you Zach, to you his family and friends, I have but one thing to say: You have been weighed. You have been measured. And you have absolutely. Absolutely been found wanting. Welcome to the new world. MY world. God save you, if it is right that he should do so. Authors Note. Each chapter will be a theme about a virtue or vice, like, mercy, anger, rage and forgiveness.
