After the battle of Hogwarts, Draco Malfoy ran away from the death eaters and returned to Hogwarts for the eighth year. This year, Hogwarts decides to do a student exchange program between the houses. Four unfortunate students are picked from all of the eighth-year students, one from each house, and they are put into one of the other three houses for a whole month. What will happen when Harry Potter is chosen and transferred to Slytherin to share a dorm with his arch-enemy, Draco Malfoy? Warning: I have been writing this story since middle school, I'm now in highschool and about a quarter of the way through. The updates are not regular and this story will likely not be finished soon, so if you're looking for a complete story this isn't it! It is a slow burn after all. Includes: Drarry, Romione, Heterochromia! Draco, and a teensy (and I mean teensy) bit of amortentia to spice it up a little. Rivals to friends to lovers, slow burn (of course), probably won't be outright smut but there will be some tense/suggestive scenes and implied sexual scenes.

After the war, Hogwarts decided to switch up how they do housing to try and build better connections between students. This resulted in a roommate situation where students are randomly assigned to one of their peers and they live in newly built dorms. Harry never expected to go back to Hogwarts after the war, nor did he expect Draco too. He expected even less that they would end up paired together in a dorm for their last year at Hogwarts. Originally started in November(?) of 2019 Rewrite started in January of 2026 So I lied, kind of, I said I would never come back and rewrite this but uh, here we are. It truly was bound to happen, I crave writing, but oh well. This is going to look and sound completely different from the original because I actually hated the flow of the original version so I'm redoing it in its entirety. Harry decides to prank Draco after a game of Quidditch. Desiring for Draco to go mad, he waits for him in an empty classroom. However, as soon as he realizes Draco wants to vent his anger in different way, he appears to be rather withdrawn and insecure - despite the fact he highly likes it. Does this mean Draco has more guts than Harry, after all? They decide to create a distance between them. After not seeing each other for months, they meet by utter chance. They are tensed, confused, and ready for a fall now school starts again. How will they manage, now shadows are trailing behind them? Draco, obnoxious and knocked with daddy issues.
